There was a cap on this event, preventing more than 200 individuals from entering it. Poker action commenced around 7 p.m. with players taking their seats around that time. For those willing to have a second chance at winning big, a re-entry option was available up until Level 6 of the poker action. Levels last about 20 minutes, which gave the players the chance to demonstrate premium performance.
This first day also offered satellite events for single tables of players reaching a maximum of 10 individuals. Depending on the entry fees they are willing to pay, they receive the chance to enter a different event with buy-ins ranging from CA$400 to the CA$1,100 Main Event. Thursday, April 25 was ready with the first grand event – the CA$550 + CA$50 No-Limit Texas Hold’em one which granted each player with a starting chip stack of 15,000 chips. The poker action kicked off around 2 p.m. and everyone who registered for participation has until Level 6 to utilize their re-entry option if luck was not on their side.
The maximum number of players for this event reached 260 individuals, in order to guarantee that all enthusiasts had the chance to bag a generous cash payout for their participation. Level 22 was the last one for the day, postponing the gaming action to the following day and preserving players’ alertness to the game.
