The Russian-born business owner Dmitrii Perfilev, who until recently had only one cash in a World Series of Poker (WSOP) event, emerged victorious from the WSOP Circuit Seminole Casino Coconut Creek US$1,700 NLHE Main Event.
The poker grinder managed to add another WSOP cash to his account after defeating 734 other players who entered the Main Event and took home a prize poll cash portion of US$2221,691, as well as his first WSOP Circuit gold ring. The victory also brought him his first-ever live tournament win since he started playing poker.

For the time being, the Russian-born player is an owner of several businesses, so he is not able to play many poker tournaments. This is why he primarily sticks to Pot-Limit Omaha cash games held in South Florida. It is exactly the Pot-Limit Omaha games his name is mostly associated with, and Perfilev himself says: “Florida players know me.”
And still, it was not the poker pros such as the former online poker legend Stuart Paterson or Michael Amato who grabbed the first-place prize. Perfilev did that, scooping the largest prize pool portion, as well as his first (and probably not last) WSOP Circuit gold ring.
“Pot-Omaha Player” Perfilev Beats Poker Pros
Despite Dimitrii Perfilev does not have much experience playing no-limit hold’em games, not to mention the fact he is not much of a tournament player also, finally he managed to climb on top of the 735-entry field. He succeeded in generating a massive chip lead on Day 2 and managed to keep that lead until the final day of the Main Event when only 17 players returned.
Perfilev found his way to the top, by sticking to his aggressive style of play, thanks to which he won pots over the game to finally emerge victorious from the Main Event. At the time when the heads-up play started, he had larger than a 2-to-1 chip advantage which he also managed to extend in the first 20 minutes of the clash. Eventually, Perfilev took down the Main Event getting not only the largest cash prize but also a guaranteed seat into the 2019 Global Casino Championship and his first WSOP Circuit title.
With Dmitrii Perfilev occupying the first place in the WSOP Circuit Seminole Casino Coconut Creek Main Event ranking getting the lion’s share of the prize pool, Mohammad Siddiqui remained on the runner-position, taking home a total of US$137,298. Harry O’Brien got third, scooping a cash prize of US$101,219.
The fourth place in the Main Event’s ranking was taken by Cesar Solares, followed by Stuart Paterson on the fifth. Michael Amato got sixth, while Jordan Schneider remained on the seventh position. The final two places in the ranking were occupied by Jose Delcid (8th) and Lloyd Gunther (9th), respectively.
