The eighth event from the 2018/2019 WSOP Circuit Seminole Casino Coconut Creek – the US$600 NLHE Turbo – came to an end mere hours ago, with Matthew Zarcadoolas emerging as the winner.
The player, who was second in chips at the beginning of the final day of the event managed to go wire-to-wire at the final table and took down the US$600 No-Limit Hold’em Turbo event after a heads-up clash with Jorge Aristizabal. Zarcadoolas topped a player field of 69 players to be crowned as the winner and receive a prize pool portion of US$12,436, as well as his first WSOP Circuit ring.
The 69 entries registered for the event accounted for a total prize pool estimated at US$35,535, with only the first seven places getting paid for their efforts.

The first-place prize added a little more to Matthew Zarcadoolas’ total live earnings which before his latest winning amounted to US$429,793. So far, the best live cash of the player amounted to US$100,579.
US$600 NLHE Turbo Event’s Final Day Ranking
The US poker pro entered the final day of the event second in chips, with only ten players remaining in the competition. At the time when the last searing arrangement and chip counts were made, Zo Karim led the pack, with 263,000 in chips. Zarcadoolas followed him closely, with 238,000 in chips. Michael Laake and David Caughlin were third and fourth, with 189,000 and 186,000 in chips, respectively.
As mentioned above, Matthew Zarcadoolas managed to establish the lead at the very beginning of the final table and what is more, to keep that lead throughout the gameplay, until there were only two players left in the competition. Matthew Zarcadoolas faced Jorge Aristizabal in a heads-up play, which soon ended up with Zarcadoolas winning his first WSOP Circuit gold ring.
“I got into this by accident. It wasn’t even the plan. I got into this late with about 20 big blinds and just ran it up.” – Matthew Zarcadoolas said after the victory.
With Matthew Zarcadoolas occupying the first position in the WSOP Circuit Seminole Casino Coconut Creek US$600 NLHE Turbo with a prize pool portion of US$12,436 won, Jorge Aristizabal remained on the runner-up position, taking home a total of US$7,686. The third place was occupied by Zo Karim, who got a cash prize of US$5,096 for his efforts.
Gilles Dalco remained fourth, followed by Michael Laake on the fifth place of the ranking. Jose De La Cruz got sixth, while David Coughlin occupied the seventh position.
Tonight, the long-expected US$1,700 Main Event of the 2018/2019 Seminole Casino Coconut Creek. The Main Event is to be held from September 21st to September 24th, offering two starting flights and two more play days.
