Air Dice Group, a prominent name in the world of online gambling, has recently revealed that it has secured a license to operate in Ontario’s open and competitive iGaming market. The game developer has been approved for a B2B license by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario, allowing it to partner with gambling brands in Canada’s most populous province.
Back in April 2022, Ontario became the first Canadian province to allow private operators to offer regulated online casino and sports betting to its residents. After the launch, the province quickly made its way into the top five gaming jurisdictions in North America, as in the first twelve months, it generated over CA$35.6 billion in online betting handle thanks to its passionate population.
Marking Its First North America Entry
This week, Air Dice Group announced that it has been awarded a B2B gaming supplier license by AGCO to operate in Ontario’s iGaming scene. The company is a prominent game developer for its strategy-influenced money games. Now, the provider can make its debut in the North American markets for online casino gaming.
Erkki Nikunen, partner & CBDO of Air Dice, stated that the team has just come back from ICE London, which was a tremendous success for the company, and they are now proud to share the achievement of getting a B2B license in Ontario. Its North American entry comes on the back of several expansions and market debuts in various regulated markets throughout 2023.
Mr. Nikunen continued by saying that the permit for the Heartland Province is a testament to the supplier’s commitment to regulatory compliance and the exemplary standards of its games and responsible gambling technology. Soon players in the region will be able to enjoy its hit titles such as Wild Shifter, Gunslinger Legends: Bounty Hunter, Flaming Bombs, Fire Lion and more.
Ontario Shares Q3 Numbers
Just recently, iGaming Ontario, a subsidiary of AGCO, issued the province’s iGaming numbers for the third quarter of the fiscal 2023-2024. For the period of October 1, 2023, through December 31, 2023, the market handled approximately CA$17.2 billion in online bets. This was a solid 21% improvement over the previous quarter of the fiscal year.
It was revealed that operators and sites generated approximately CA$658 million in gaming revenue for the quarter, a 22% rise from the previous quarter. The report also disclosed around 1.2 million player accounts online during Q3. Meanwhile, calculations showed that the average monthly spend per active player account was around CA$186.
Meanwhile, Ontario’s competitive sector grows larger by the week, as more operators and providers are permitted to join. This month, Booming Games also announced its entry into the province. The company is popular for its hit iGaming titles such as TNT Bonanza, Cash Pig, Buffalo Hold and Win, The Wild Wings of Phoenix and many more.
