The winner is Noel Patricio from Toronto took his time to claim the windfall as he picked up his cheque this week at the OLG Prize Centre in the city, getting an early Christmas and birthday gift.
Lotto 6/49 is a nationwide game that offers two multi-million dollar jackpots every Wednesday and Saturday, for the same CA$3 per ticket. Mr. Patricio who also celebrates his birthday this week, is a regular lottery player and acquired the winning ticket while he was on work break. When he heard that the jackpot was won in Toronto, he checked the ticket via the OLG app and mistakenly thought that he won CA$68,000 but after his sister told him to count the zeroes, discovered that it was CA$68,000,000.
