PointsBet is looking to enhance its Canadian online gambling operations, as it most recently announced that it has selected Brooke Hilton as Head of Casino in Ontario. The appointment comes after the company recently posted its quarterly earnings reaping success in the country. Its net win spiked from CA$1.5 million to CA$4.7 million in Q1, reporting a 212% increase.
The company is part of Ontario’s regulated market for iGaming as it boasts a two-year license from the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario in March 2022. The Australian firm recently sold its US division to Fanatics Betting & Gaming for approximately US$225 million and will focus on Canadian business. Its sportsbook in the US will now slowly rebrand to Fanatics Sportsbook.
More on the New Hire
Prior to arriving at PointsBet as a Head of Casino, Ms. Hilton worked as Director of Business Development at Ingenuity Gaming. Her experience in the gambling sector also includes a term at Bally’s Interactive, where she was in charge of iGaming product development for North America between March 2021 and January 2023.

Ms. Hilton said that she is quite pleased to announce the beginning of her chapter as the Head of Casino for the Australian bookmaker. She added that thanks to her experience in the Canadian gaming industry in the past 10+ years, she is now set to combine her passion with a company as big as PointsBet Canada.

Shortly after its official launch in Ontario’s regulated iGaming sector, the company was among the first to issue numbers from the new market. During that time, it accumulated a gross gaming revenue of CA$600,000 and its total market share was at approximately 4.2% in comparison to other operators.
PointsBet Says Sask. Should Follow Ontario’s Path to iGaming
