Playtech has most recently announced a partnership with one of the industry’s prominent gambling operators – FanDuel. As per the agreement, the leading gambling technology studio will debut its premium Live Casino content on the operator’s iGaming platform in Canada. The agreement is the first between the two brands which continue to expand into regulated markets.
Established back in 1999, Playtech is a leading brand in the gambling industry touting over 7,300 employees across 19 countries. It specializes in providing business intelligence driven by gambling software, services, content and platform technology across the industry’s most popular product verticals. This includes casino, live casino, sports and virtual betting, bingo and poker.
Launching Live Casino Content for Ontarians
For the partnership, the supplier launched a dedicated Live Casino studio to provide FanDuel Canada with content. It is based in Riga, Latvia, and is designed to meet the specific needs of the Canadian sector and the operator’s player base. It will now deliver top-class gaming titles to the operator’s players in Ontario, by offering Roulette, All Bet Blackjack, Baccarat, and more.
The new agreement extends the provision of the Live Casino studio to other provinces in the country if they introduce regulated iGaming. This will ensure flexibility for future expansion and the deal from the provider further drives its expansion across North America, after the recently developed studios for Adventures Beyond Wonderland and Big Bad Wolf.
Playtech is one of the licensed gaming-related providers in Ontario’s regulated market for online gambling, and it has previously facilitated the launch of other operators. For instance, in November 2022, it powered Mansion Limited’s debut in the province. Through this, the provider supplied its innovative IMS platform to bring Mansion’s content online in the Heartland Province.
George Voyatzis, VP Commercial for Playtech remarked the collaboration with the operator is a really exciting moment for the supplier, and that they look forward to delivering Live Casino games to the iGaming platform and its players in Ontario. He added that as the tech provider builds more studios worldwide and releases new games, this deal is yet another example of Live Casino taking over the sector.
Dale Hooper, General Manager for FanDuel Canada commented that the company is pleased with the new partnership, which will secure the highest quality of Live experience. He also noted that the addition of FanDuel Live Casino studio will allow the firm to cater to the needs of the local market. It will also cement the company’s position as an iGaming leader in North America.
Gaining Sports Betting Momentum Too
Besides securing its spot as an online gambling operator in Canada and North America, FanDuel is also putting effort into expanding its sports betting brand. This summer the gaming company became the official sportsbook partner of the Canadian Football League, allowing it to launch a premium CFL experience by offering a selection of in-game player props and much more.
