This week, another Ontario ticket holder joined the club of Canadian lottery multi-millionaires, but they might not be aware of it just yet. On Tuesday night, the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation issued a press release that confirmed that Tuesday’s November 1 2022 draw for Lotto Max has found a winner of a CA$60 million prize in Ontario.
Lotto Max is a nationwide draw-based game which is drawn every Tuesday and Friday. The game offers some immense cash prizes, as the main prize could reach the whooping CA$70,000,000. And once the jackpot surpasses CA$50,000,000, every draw comes with several Maxmillion prizes up for grabs. Each of those is worth the hefty CA$1,000,000.
Eastern Ontario Winner
Shortly after the latest Lotto Max drawing, the Crown corporation issued a statement that a ticket worth CA$60,000,000 has been sold in the Province of Ontario. According to the OLG, the winning ticket was purchased in The United Counties of Prescott and Russell in eastern Ontario. Ticket holders in the region are advised to carefully check their tickets via the OLG app or at retail scanners.
In addition to that, the province took home another major winning as the OLG reported that a second prize was won in Mississauga. It is worth CA$200,777.20. However, that is not all, as three Encore tickets were sold in Mississauga, Barrie, and York. Each of those is worth a hefty CA$100,000. Winners are advised to contact the Crown agency to receive them.
According to the OLG, the winning numbers for the main prize were 02, 23, 27, 34, 43, 46, 49, and Bonus 44. Meanwhile, winning figures for the Maxmillion prizes were 01, 07, 12, 22, 32, 39, 43; 02, 05, 07, 19, 20, 30, 46; 02, 08, 18, 26, 33, 34, 36; 02, 12, 14, 28, 34, 38, 39; 04, 06, 18, 29, 31, 38, 40; 05, 06, 12, 14, 29, 40, 43; 07, 08, 09, 14, 41, 46, 50; and 09, 11, 14, 25, 37, 39, 49.
Players can now start preparing for the next draw and purchase tickets at retail locations or online depending on their provincial lottery regulator. Due to the fact that Tuesday’s jackpot of CA$60 million has been won and some Maxmillion prizes have remained unclaimed, the next draw on Friday, November 4, 2022, will feature a jackpot of CA$18 million.
Some Hefty Lotto Max Winnings in 2022
So far in 2022, Canadian lottery players have cashed out on some big prizes in the fan-favourite Lotto Max. Back in the summer, Marcel Lussier, Brossard, Quebec, won the life-changing CA$70,000,000. It was quite the story, as the former Hydro-Québec employee received his big cheque in the same building that he used to work in.
Just recently, provincial lotteries informed that a jackpot worth CA$70,000,000 has been sold in Calgary, Alberta. It was a long due, as the sizeable jackpot survived for a total of 20 draws before being claimed. Due to safety concerns, the name of the winner will be revealed, once they have gotten their hands on the mega prize.
