Just this week, the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation surprised its lottery enthusiasts with a brand-new game. The concept is titled CA$100 Ultimate and it is an instant ticket game which offers players a chance to win up to CA$1,000,000 in top prizes. However, the game is limited and it will be available until the end of the year or until copies run out.
The OLG is a state-run Crown agency that regulated lawful gambling and lottery in the province, while also using proceeds to build a better Ontario. Since 1975, through its gaming operations, the Crown corporation has brought in over CA$55 billion to the province, which has been reinvested into key sectors such as healthcare, battling problem gambling and support for amateur athletes.
New Ticket is Available
On October 31, 2022, the OLG informed that its new instant CA$100 Ultimate game is now available to purchase at retail locations across Ontario. The new concept gives players approximately 1 in 25,000 chances to win the top prize of CA$1,000,000. The game will be available until December 31, 2022, or until copies for it run out, said OLG.
In its new release, the Crown corporation invites players to participate in the scratch game and be in contention for instant prizes of up to CA$100,000. Then, each ticket will become eligible to win one of the forty CA$1 million prizes. The draw will be held on New Year’s Eve 2022. Players are advised to keep their tickets to the grand draw.
Duncan Hannay, President and CEO of the Crown organization, said that CA$100 Ultimate will create more millionaires in Ontario than any other instant game has managed to do. He continued by saying that the new ticket is the Crown’s latest way of giving customers more chances to win big while also elevating the company’s business to the next level.
OLG promotes fun but responsible gambling and it remains committed to helping players in creating and keeping smart gaming habits. Its award-winning PlaySmart program supports all of its products, including its new CA$100 Ultimate. In addition to that, 100% of the proceeds from the new game will be reinvested into the province to aid communities.
In September, the OLG launched an improved and rebranded self-exclusion version of its “My PlayBreak”. The new service comes with more flexibility and choice when they want to take a break from gambling. It is available in land-based casinos, charitable gaming centres, and OLG.ca for any bettor or player that feels like they need help in controlling their gambling habits.
Self-Service Lottery Kiosks
It should be mentioned that in September the OLG also announced its plan to launch approximately 1,400 self-serve lottery terminals in select lottery retail locations across the province. The machines will be provided by leading supplier brand IGT, and the plan is to start introducing them at retail locations in the second half of 2023.
