Canadian provincial lotteries have confirmed that last Friday’s Lotto Max jackpot has made it through another round. The mega prize once more stood at CA$70,000,000, but no ticket holder matched the winning numbers drawn on Friday, October 14, 2022. But even without the jackpot, some hefty windfalls were still claimed by lottery players.
Lotto Max is among the top choices when it comes to the lottery in Canada and it rightfully so, as it offers a maximum main prize of CA$70 million. The game is drawn twice a week, once on Tuesday and once on Friday. And once the prize goes above CA$50,000,000, every draw also comes with several CA$1 million Maxmillion prizes, which can accumulate for the next round.
Jackpot Still Standing
On Friday, October 14, 2022, the country hosted its latest draw for Lotto Max with a jackpot of the mind-boggling CA$70,000,000. Unfortunately for ticket holders, no one was able to bring the main prize down and claim it. The winning number combination for the draw was 02, 24, 27, 31, 40, 43 and 46. The bonus number for the draw was 13.
But despite no winners for the astronomical jackpot, an Ontarian ticket holder was able to match six of the seven winning numbers and the bonus numbers and won a second prize of CA$1.4 million. In addition to that, out of the 61 Maxmillions, one was split between a player in Kelowna B.C. and one in Atlantic Canada. The winner combo for the ticket is 02, 14, 22, 23, 44, 45 and 47.
It should be mentioned that this was not the only B.C. winner from Friday’s draw, as three more tickets from the province claimed a Maxmillion. The first one with winning numbers 12, 14, 20, 35, 36, 4,2 46, has gone to Langley, the second one with numbers 8, 13, 21, 29, 41, 44, 46, was claimed in North Vancouver, and the last one in Victoria with numbers 7, 16, 30, 31, 32, 36, 47.
In addition to that, there were also five other CA$1 million winners from Western Canada as well as eight from Ontario and three from Quebec. Also, lotteries inform that a winning ticket worth CA$500,000 has been purchased in the Peace River region, making it eligible for a Lotto Max Extra win and making a local resident rich.
October 7 draw also had a jackpot of CA$70,000,000 and no one was able to claim it to their name. However, the round awarded some hefty Maxmillion prizes to players. According to the OLG, six Maxmillion payouts in Ontario. Five of the winning tickets have gone to Simcoe County, Haliburton and Muskoka area, York Region, Scarborough and Brampton. At the start of the year, Ontario witnessed the win of a CA$70,000,000-jackpot from Lotto Max. The name of the lucky winner is Manoharan Ponnuthurai and the 54-year-old’s life changed for the better with the December 17, 2021 draw. It was the Quick Pick option that brought him the life-changing payout, but he refuses to retire from work.
