After receiving regulatory approval Kaizen Gaming is now making final preparations before launching in Ontario and the local iGaming market for private operators. The leading brand will be making its official debut in the province via its subsidiary entity Betano, and the company is hopeful to make it a reality before the end of the year.
Kaizen Gaming is one of the leading gaming operators in the global industry and operates in 10 countries on different continents. It was named the 2022 Southern European Operator of the Year Award at the recent SBC Summit in Barcelona. While also winning several EGR Operator Awards, including Mobile Operator of the Year and Football Betting Operator of the Year.
Focusing on Soccer
Kris Abbott for the betting company stated that it has dominated the soccer space in every jurisdiction it has entered. He said that for this year’s World Cup, the sportsbook will offer roughly 500 betting markets per match. Mr. Abbott elaborated that the firm’s idea is to utilize its soccer offering in the Canadian province and engage local soccer fans.
Furthermore, he commented that Betano will have an aggressive marketing strategy in the province, since the brand may not be that popular among locals. Some of its advertising strategies would leverage the formation of strategic partnerships as well as some of its major sponsorship deals the sportsbook has inked with clubs such as FC Porto and Sporting Clube de Portugal.
Once live, the sportsbook will be available for download on both iOS and Android devices. It is also accessible on desktop computers. The company also plans on expanding to other Canadian jurisdictions. Mr. Abbott indicated that if another province introduces a similar private market, then the sportsbook will be looking to expand to the said region.
The company’s sportsbook impresses with its user-friendly design, which many Canadian sports may already be familiar with. Mr. Abbott confidently said that the app’s online casino product is superior to most operators in the province, and it will feature some of the most prominent names and titles from the industry. There will be also a social component, which allows people to compare their activity.
Market Update
This week, the regulator of the local iGaming market, the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario, set a deadline for grey-market operators. The AGCO warned illegal platforms of a deadline of October 31, 2022, to become legal in the jurisdiction and join the regulated market. Otherwise, they might be penalized by the regulator. For instance, their application may be rejected.
Prior to that, the online regulator gave permission to nine online brands to become part of the regulated sector. The nine brands are operated by Apollo Entertainment, Betsson, and Boyd Gaming. Seven of the nine licenses have gone to Apollo Entertainment, while the other two are for Bettson-owned GWN Limited and Boyd-owned Pala Interactive
