This week, the MGM Resorts’ sportsbook and casino has been confirmed as the Casino Operator of the Year at EGR North America Awards 2022. The award is one that celebrates excellence in the North American gaming industry and is one of the most prestigious ones.
Casino Operator of the Year award goes to the online casino operator that has been the most prominent name in the industry, through their global reach and quality of verticals. Nominated companies were asses on several factors, including originality of the product, brand exposure, as well as innovations that make their product that stands out in the iGaming sector.
Recognized as the Best in 2022
Adam Greenblatt, Chief Executive Officer of the leading operator, shared that the company is delighted to be recognized by its peers as Casino Operator of the Year. He explains that due to the continued support from MGM Resorts and Entain, the operator is confident that its casino and sports betting products will resume being the benchmark in the industry for the upcoming years.
As Casino Operator of the Year at the EGR North America Awards 2022, the operator was acknowledged for having the largest exclusive state-by-state in-house progressive jackpot network in the USA. In addition to that, it was recognized for its premium games and engagement tool portfolio, and last but not least its world-class partnerships and an omnichannel focus.
Matthew Sunderland, Vice President of Gaming for the brand, commented that last year the operator has put some major efforts to solidify its place at the top of the iGaming sector on the continent. He shared that the team is humbled to be acknowledged as the industry’s best and that their success is a testament to the operator’s player-focused operational mindset.
Now in Ontario
Over the last several months, BetMGM has made some impressive strides in its development. For instance, on April 4, 2022, the company became part of Ontario’s new and regulated online sports betting and iCasino market. Local bettors can now wager on the company’s award-winning sportsbook app by placing wagers on numerous sporting events, including football, MMA, boxing, Formula 1, NASCAR, basketball, hockey, baseball, and even more.
Earlier this year, the sportsbook recorded one more major achievement, as it went live in New York State’s new mobile sports betting market. The Empire State’s market officially launched on January 8, 2022, with four operators, and only nine days after that BetMGM has become the fifth one to go live and offer its premium sports betting products to the region.
Despite its recent expansion into new regulated markets, the company is still determined to advocate responsible gambling to its many players.
