Once again, Woodbine Entertainment continues its tradition of paying out the annual Standardbred Jackpot Hi-5. The company most recently announced that it will pay out the prize currently worth CA$454,917.91 on December 23, 2021, at its Woodbine Mohawk Park in Milton. This payout would come as an early Christmas present for the horseplayers.
In order for horseplayers to participate in the game for Jackpot Hi-5, they need to select which will be the top-five finishers in a race, while also listing them in the correct order. The entire prize can only be won if there is only one winning ticket for the wager. If there are multiple winning tickets, half of the prize is added to the carryover.
Hefty Reward
Currently, after Mondayās December 13, 2021, evening racing card, the Jackpot Hi-5 carryover is now standing at $454,917.91. Participants will have one more chance to acquire the main prize before the pre-Christmas payout is conducted by Woodbine Entertainment. In order to prepare for the December 23 mandatory payout, wagers will be suspended after Thursdayās December 16 racing card at the track.
Over the last several years, the Jackpot Hi-5 wager and its mandatory payout have become quite the tradition for Woodbine Entertainment. The game accumulated large wagering pools, while also providing strong payouts which come just in time for the winter holidays. If there are several winning tickets, then they will acquire half of the main prize, while the other 50% is transferred to the next round as a carryover.
The mandatory payout will award the entire carryover, in addition to the all new money wagered on the game to those who correctly guess the top-five finishers in order. The game has a minimum of CA$0.20 and 15% takeout. The company has also informed that racing at Woodbine Mohawk Park will continue every Monday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at 7 p.m.
More Winter Races
Previously, Woodbine Entertainment revealed that this yearās Winter Series at Woodbine Mohawk Park will have even more races on its schedule. The already familiar Niagara, Valedictory, Blizzard, Snowshoe, Wine & Roses, and Family Day will be joined by four new races. The recently added will be a pair of claiming series for Ontario-sired four-year-olds, and the events Ontario Boys and Ontario Girls.
Exceptional Results
Also, last week, the horse racing leader concluded its Thoroughbred live racing season at its Woodbine Racetrack. The company has reported an all-source handle of CA$505,348,339, which is the third-highest for a season’s total during the trackās operations. This was mostly due to the highest-ever foreign wagering handle of CA$420,666,755. The season had a delayed start and ended on December 5, 2021, with a total of 99 race days.
