The latest reports coming from the Canadian lottery industry is that last Friday’s Lotto Max draw did not determine a winner for the hefty prize. On Friday, October 15, 2021, no ticket holders from the provinces managed to match all winning numbers and grab the hefty reward of CA$50 million. Now, the main prize will grow even larger for its next round.
Lotto Max is one of the highest-paying lottery games in Canada, as its main prize can reach the mind-boggling CA$70,000,000. Also, after the jackpot hits the CA$50 million mark, its draws can reward players with several Maxmillion prizes, each worth CA$1,000,000. Tickets for the round on Tuesdays and Fridays can be purchases at retail locations or online.
No Winner Again
Last Friday’s draw of Lotto Max determined that there will be no winners of the CA$50 million jackpot, as no purchased tickets matched the winning combination for the round. However, players should not get discouraged as this week they will have another shot at the enormous jackpot prize, which will now grow to the amount of CA$55 million for Tuesday’s draw.
Additionally, the Friday draw also had two Maxmillion prizes up for grabs each worth the impressive CA$1 million. Unfortunately for all ticket holders of Lotto Max, the two side prizes have also remained unclaimed last week. Players must know that the Tuesday, October 19 draw will now feature a total of four Maxmillion prizes to its participants.
Maxmillion Prize Claimed
Recently, the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation revealed a winner of a Maxmillion prize from Lotto Max and his name is Michael Alexander from London. After arriving at an OLG Prize Centre in Toronto, Mr. Alexander shared that he is a regular lotto player and that he mostly plays Lotto Max, Lotto 6/49, Ontario 49, and Lottario.
The winner’s ticket was drawn as the winner of the Maxmillion prize in the June 8 round of the game and he is now CA$1,000,000 richer. The 56-year-old father revealed that he found out about the winning after checking his ticket with the OLG App and he could not sleep from excitement the following night. With the money, he plans to travel and invest a portion of it.
CA$70-Million Jackpot Won
The last time that the Lotto Max jackpot reached its maximum amount of CA$70,000,000 it was claimed by a ticket holder from British Columbia. The winner was determined on the September 28 draw of the game, and the only information reported as of right now by the British Columbia Lottery Corporation is that he is located somewhere in Burnaby. The winning is the largest lotto win in the history of B.C.
Edmonton Winner
Another instance of a major Lotto Max winning in Western Canada was previously reported by the WCLC. The name of the winner is Andrew Weninger and he recently claimed his reward of CA$15,000,000 from the March 26th draw of the fan-favorite lotto game. Mr. Weninger explained that he was trying to get some sleep while his mother stormed into his room to tell him the tremendous news. The winner from Edmonton intends on investing some of the prize, buying a new car, return to school, and travel around the world.
