The big Lotto 6/49 jackpot continues to pile up this week, as the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation has announced that the jackpot is still not won. Currently, the jackpot is approximately CA$23,000,000 and it will be even bigger come the next draw of the game. The search for the next Canadian lotto multi-millionaire will resume this week.
The classic draw-based games are quite popular among Canadians as hundreds of millions of dollars are being awarded to lottery players on an annual basis. The two most preferred games are the Lotto 6/49 and Lotto Max which are available in both physical ticket copies and online offerings through the Crown corporationās official app.
Still No Winner
The Crown agency revealed yesterday on May 9, 2021, that the major Lotto 6/49 jackpot has not found its lucky winner once again. The prize currently stands at around CA$23 million and is looking forward to changing someoneās life for the better. The winning numbers for Saturdayās jackpots are 25, 28, 36, 38, 41, and 49. The number 20 was drawn as the bonus one but to no avail as the prize remains untouched.
Additionally, the Crown revealed that for the next Lotto 6/49 draw on May 12, the jackpot will grow substantially to over CA$27 million. However, it worth noting is that this weekās guaranteed prize has been won by a ticket holder from the Prairies. The lucky winner will have CA$1 to their name. The name of the winner is still not revealed.
Manitoba Winners
Saturdayās Lotto 6/49 draw has been generous to even more Canadian residents. The Crown agency announced that three Manitoba ticket holders are also among the winning ones. The first lotto player from Manitoba has matched all seven winning numbers in the Lotto 6/49 Extra draw round, thus claiming the hefty amount of CA$250,000.
The second winner is located somewhere in Winnipeg and thanks to the draw-based game has CA$100,000 to his or her name. The winning numbers are 1035486 and the lucky ticket holder has matched the last six numbers for the win. Another Winnipeg ticket was among the 25 winners from across the country to earn CA$25,000 from the guaranteed prize draw.
Kirkland Lake Millionaire
Previously, the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation revealed the name of its latest lotto millionaire as Grover Adams was drawn as the winner of the Lotto Max jackpot. The 60-year-old Kirkland Lake resident now considers earlier retirement as he has claimed his CA$15 million check from the Crown agencyās office last week. The father of three plans to help out his children with the money and is looking forward to a peaceful retirement.
Mississauga Ticket Holder
At the start of May, the Crown corporation has also revealed its previous Lotto 6/49 winner. Thanks to the April 14 draw of the game, the life of the 59-year-old Raymond Rooke has drastically changed but for the better. The Mississauga man is one of the winners of the CA$22.8 million Lotto 6/49 jackpot. The other winner who has purchased his ticket in Scarborough is yet to be revealed.
