Surreal Feeling
The Jylha residence life changed forever on January 30, 2020, when Ms. Jylha’s Lotto 6/49 ticket was drawn as the winning one bringing the family the impressive amount of CA$1 million. She purchased the ticked earlier in a Merritt Walmart and read on social media that a local has bagged the prize, and after checking her ticket right she could not believe her own eyes, said the fortunate lady.
According to the winner, it was scintillating to win such a prize, and she even had difficulties convincing her husband that she in fact won CA$1 million. The happy family shared plans of spending the money, having discussed buying a new vehicle or even a property, but for now, they will be enjoying the financial freedom.
Orangeville Winner
Julie Tabsing is the next Canadian lottery millionaire after also winning CA$1,000,000 from Lotto 6/49. The 54-year-old man purchased his ticket at Circle K on Dawson Road in Orangeville and discovered his winnings after stopping by for fuel. After checking his first three tickets which were also winning but with significantly smaller prizes, it was with the fourth ticket when the big prize dropped.
Mr. Tabsing reflected on the special occasion when claiming his cheque in Ontario Lottery Gaming’s office in Toronto. He expressed his excitement and joy and even shared his thoughts on what his family will do with the million. With the first thing on the agenda being paying off his mortgage, share some with his children and think how he will spend rest.
