Live Harness Racing Starts May 26
Dresden Raceway is scheduled to welcome special M.P.P. Monte McNaughton and Mayor Darrin Canniff Race that would make it even more special for both spectators and officials. Memorabilia is quite special for individuals fond of horse racing and harness racing in particular.
This is why the special day is going to bring them many chances of winning branded merchandise ranging from t-shirts to hats. These are usually highly anticipated every single year and fans collect them. For many locals, this location is associated with warm childhood memories that are evoked around this time of the year.
This year is going to feature as many as 11 live harness racing days offering opportunities for congregations, for open-air entertainment, and the well-known thrill for many locals. The location has been preparing for this day and management announced the grandstand is ready for the excited crowd. It has also been confirmed that great names to the likes of Tyler Borth, Garret Rooney, and Nick Steward will be featured within the lines of this year’s live schedule. Locals should also be excited for horse people such as Mark Williams and Donnie Rankin.
Gateway Casinos Prepares for Relocation
Many individuals are excited about the live horse racing, but it should also be pointed out that the slots venue overseen by Gateway Casinos and Entertainment is still in operation. This would mean that the location would be prepared to offer various ways of entertainment and winning big, as Gateway Casinos Dresden is renowned for its premium offerings.
The casino developer is currently in the process of construction of a new venue that would become the new permanent home of gaming in the area. Cascades Casino Chatham is projected to welcome all current slot machines available at Dresden Raceway, increase their number to 300, and include other more diverse gaming offerings such as 10 table games. More family-friendly offerings would also be available on site.
There have been concerns expressed regarding this relocation of business, as Chatham locals are worried this would bring problem gambling increase in the region. However, Patrick Kolowicz, Director of Mental Health and Addictions at Hotel-Dieu Grace Healthcare, recently made it clear that at this point of the project the true magnitude of a potential issue could not be estimated.
