International Game Technology PLC or IGT has most recently announced that its subsidiary has won a competitive bid to install video lottery terminals with Loto-Québec. As per the agreement, IGT Canada Solutions ULC will gradually deliver PeakDual™ 27 VLTs across the province, in a multi-year deal. This is part of the Crown corporation’s VLT replacement process.
IGT is an international leader in gambling technology which provides entertainment and responsible gaming experience to players in all segments. This includes lotteries and gaming, sports betting and digital offerings. It utilizes a broad range of content, significant investment in innovation, player insights, operational experience, and cutting-edge technology.
Continuing a Fruitful Partnership
Stéphane Fraser, Executive Vice-President and Chief Operating Officer of Gaming Establishments at Loto- Québec commented on the agreement. She remarked that for decades the Crown agency has relied on IGT to deliver quality hardware and game content to its gaming establishments network. Ms. Fraser shared that the corporation is pleased with the newest collaboration.
David Flinn, IGT SVP Sales, Canada, South and Central America added that winning the bid to supply VLTs to Quebec and its replacement cycle is a testament to the tremendous relationship between the supplier and the lottery and to the superior quality of the products and services the provider offers to its many partners across the globe.
PeakDual 27 VLT is a premium terminal that incorporates an ergonomic design and some impressive lighting, sound and graphics technology. In addition to that, it also features two 27-inch HD monitors which provide a curved, unified dual-screen experience and a 13.3 digital player panel. The new VLTs will serve as the perfect backdrop to the provider’s compelling game content.
Once installed at locations of the Crown agency, players in Quebec will be able to indulge in a plethora of first-in-class titles on the new VLT machine. Some of its games are fan-favourites such as 7’s Wild, The Wild Life™ 5 Line and Big City 5’s™, as well as recent releases like 7’s Wild Gold, Cash Eruption™ – Temple of Fire™, and Samurai 888™ Katsumi.
Previous partnerships between the global gaming supplier and the lottery, include one from November 2022. Via the deal, the provider’s subsidiary IGT Canada Solutions ULC signed a five-year contract extension with the Crown to deliver an enhanced version of its INTELLIGEN™ video lottery central system software and related components.
Expanding in Western Canada
In addition to being a prominent brand in Quebec, IGT is also a big name in Western Canada, as in May 2023, it signed a deal with Western Canada Lottery Corporation. Via the partnership, the international supplier agreed to install 720 CrystalDual® 27 to WCLC. This was the fourth launch in seven years for the gaming tech leading in the region.
