This week, Aegis Brands Inc.’s restaurant chain, St. Louis Bar & Grill announced that it has teamed up with leading iGaming brand, Sports Interaction, on a first-of-its-kind partnership. The two parties inked in a multi-year collaboration to launch Wings and Wagers, marking the first partnership between a Canadian restaurant change and a premium online casino and sports betting brand.
As one of the provincially licensed iGaming platforms in Ontario’s regulated sector, Sports Interaction offers online gaming focused on covering sports that Canadians love while also providing leading digital casino and poker options from the industry. Its app touts thousands of betting options on various sports while its iCasino features unique slots for the country.
First of Its Kind Collaboration in Ontario
The partnership between the Canadian restaurant brand and the sports betting operator is the first of its nature across the country. Now, guests of St. Louis across Ontario will have access to customized betting options via the Sports Interaction app. In addition to that, the diners will also engage fans with exclusives on game nights and other popular sporting events.
Royal Nasager, President of the restaurant chain, commented that the collaboration was an amazing way to drive excitement and stand out from the competition. He added that standing out as the best choice to watch a game when a wager is involved would further drive topline sales growth and profitability for their franchise network.
Leon Thomas, CEO of SIA, said the operator was redefining how Canadians engage with sports and explained that the firm with its 25 years of experience understood local markets. He stated that the sportsbook is pleased to partner with the dining chain to bring to guests sports, teams and players that matter to them. He promised that Canadian, U.S. and global leagues would be covered.
Via the partnership, the two companies will focus on delivering innovations and give guests new thrilling ways of engaging on the iGaming app and taking its wagering experience to the next level. St. Louis said it is committed to operating in conjunction with all regulations by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario and its employees have gone through training to understand responsible gambling.
Launching Revamped iGaming Platform and More
The partnership with the restaurant chain is just a sample of Sports Interaction’s latest developments in Ontario. In September 2023, the bookmaker launched Sports Interaction 2.0, which was a revamped version of its digital gambling platform. Its upgrades include enhancements of same-game parlays, and improved rewards and promotions, such as price boosts, bet insurance, and special odds boosts.
In the meantime, in October, the sportsbook kicked off a new marketing campaign aiming to attract Canadian bettors by using hockey hype as well as some harmless humour at the expense of Americans. With this initiative, the company is hoping to activate the pride Canadians have in hockey and their knowledge of the sport.
