This week, the Abbotsford Canucks announced that it had struck a lucrative partnership with the British Columbia Lottery Corporation. The newest agreement will further cement the already existing collaboration with Canucks Sports and Entertainment and BCLC. It will also make the Crown corporation and its PlayNow official partners to the American Hockey League team.
BCLCās PlayNow.com is the only regulated online gambling platform in British Columbia, and its revenue is reinvested back into local healthcare, education, and community programs. Official Partner to the Hockey Team
Via the latest agreement, the BCLC will become an official partner to the Abbotsford Canucks, while PlayNow will become the official sports betting partner of the team. The latest partnership between the two companies will now allow fans of the team to participate in the Abbotsford Canucks Predict the Play. It is available on the official Canucks app and online on game days. For fans who are not familiar, this is a predictive trivia game, which gives supporters of the team chance to win four tickets to one of the teamās home games.
In the press release, the AHL team also informs that has joined efforts with BCLC on the Community Hero program. It will acknowledge and honour the outstanding contributions of everyday heroes in communities throughout the Fraser Valley. Fans can also participate by voting for the next Community Hero online. The winner will have the chance to pump up the team for their next home game.
Recent BCLC Highlights
BCLC started off 2023 by issuing its annual report on lottery winnings, which covered and recapped 2022. Last year, local lottery players cashed out over CA$802 million in prize money. This resulted in more than 100 million winning tickets registered in the province across retail locations or online via the Crownās PlayNow.
A week later, the Crown agency announced that it has selected Everi Holdings Inc. as a provider of anti-money laundering technology. Via the agreement, the prominent supplier of land-based and digital casino content will make its Everi Compliance Anti-Money Laundering solution available and integrated into the Crown corporationās brick-and-mortar properties and online operations.
Currently, Everi Compliance is implemented in over 600 gaming amenities, and it is among the most commonly used and complex Anti-Money Laundering software available in the industry. This way, the gaming supplier will support the Crown which conducts and offers lottery, casino, bingo, and online gambling options in the Province of British Columbia for the benefit of its locals.
