At the start of this week, NeoGames S.A’s subsidiary, Pariplay, announced that it has facilitated the launch of the first studio’s content on PlayAlberta.ca. The integration of American Gaming Systems and its products into the provincial betting platform is possible via Pariplay’s Fusion® technology. Now, players of the platform will have access to premium titles from the studio.
PlayAlberta is the only provincially regulated website in the province of Alberta and it comes with numerous player protections to ensure a safe but responsible gambling experience. Now, the website will offer content from AGS, which is possible after earlier this year, the leading gaming provider Pariplay and NeoPollard Interactive shook hands on a lucrative partnership.
Forthcoming Content
Via the terms of the agreement, AGS will be able to utilize Pariplay’s Fusion® technology and debut its premium iCasino content to the province’s regulated platform. Some of the upcoming titles on PlayAlberta include the studio’s Capital Gains, Tiger Lord and Golden Wins. Fusion® comes with over 14,000 games from 80+ suppliers, as well as a comprehensive suite of back-office conversion and retention tools.
Managing Director of Pariplay, Adrian Bailey, claimed that AGS has earned a remarkable reputation in developing engaging slots that catch the eye of players at both retail and digital gaming amenities. He noted that the launch onto PlayAlberta is the important first step in the company’s objective to provide premium third-party titles to the province.
Stuart Carr, SVP at AGS Interactive, praised the Fusion® platform as a renowned technology of offering a wide range of products to markets from all around the globe. He also added that the studio has put its sight on North American expansion, and it is proud to make its historical debut in Alberta as the first Fusion® studio partner to go online in the province.
In addition to that, Mr. Carr remarked that the provincial platform offers a safe and regulated online space for gambling, as it is the province’s only legal online website. It utilizes comprehensive and market-leading social responsibility tools brought to players by GameSense. Lastly, he said that the launch provides a tremendous platform for the game-developing studio to expand.
Private Market is in the Works
Currently, Alberta is also working on launching its own online gambling market, similar to the one in Ontario, but in a limited capacity for operators. The latest update from the province came in September saying that Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis Commission is working through the negotiations process. It looks increasingly more likely that the launch before the end of 2022 will be missed.
Despite the limited market model of just two operators, the sector has attracted plenty of interest from betting companies. One of the possible candidates is PointsBet Canada which earlier this year, reported that it will put its focus of expansion on the Calgary-Edmonton Corridor. Still, there is nothing concrete in terms of plans and stages of development.
