Soon British Columbia is set to welcome its newest gaming property – Cascades Casino Delta. And if you are looking for a job, its operator, Gateway Casinos & Entertainment, has announced that it will be hosting several online career fairs on Indeed. According to the company, it will need to fill up to 600 positions for its Delta gaming venue.
The new gaming amenity is set to launch in the fall of this year and it will stretch over 160,000-square-foot of land. It will come with state-of-the-art gaming which will offer plenty of variety, while also incorporating the company’s trademark dining venues – Match Eatery & Public House, Summit Bar, and a full-service buffet. Making a great spot to grab a bite.
Over 600 Positions Available
Rowland England, Vice President of Operations for BC West, shared that the objective is to create an unforgettable experience for patrons. He said that the company is looking to hire individuals who share its passion and commitment to exceptional customer service. And he is optimistic that there will be plenty of candidates in B.C. with the said qualities.
Some of the available positions for its gaming floor include dealers, dealer supervisors, slot attendants and slot supervisors. Then there are jobs for its guest services, such as representatives and supervisors. Candidates can also apply for its security department, as there are positions for security officers and security supervisors. Cashiers and count team members will also be available as vacancies.
And for its dining amenities, the gaming conglomerate is looking to find three cooks, an assistant chef, a sous chef, and a chef. For its Match Eatery & Public House, the corporation will also need to hire managers, servers, bartenders, hosts, and dishwashers. And lastly, for its Buffet, the casino will need a manager and café associate. Candidates can apply through the official website of the company.
Currently, Gateway Casinos & Entertainment is one of the most prominent gambling names in the Canadian land-based industry. It operates 27 gaming amenities across British Columbia, Ontario, and two properties in Edmonton, Alberta. And it is looking to add more with a project in Wasaga Beach, Ontario, and possibly one in Greater Sudbury via the Kingsway Entertainment District project.
Reopening Edmonton Property
Last week, the gaming conglomerate announced the reopening of its Grand Villa Casino Edmonton in Alberta. The recently revamped venue renewed work on July 18, 2022, and it will now operate seven days a week. Slots at the property will be up and running from 12 p.m. to 3 a.m., while table games will be available from 2 p.m. every day.
Project Update
Earlier this month, the company also hosted a job fair for its upcoming Wasaga Beach property in Ontario. This time the gaming leader announced 140 positions up for grabs, and it included cooks, bartenders, servers, dishwashers, hosts, cage and coin attendants, slot technicians, security and maintenance. The new venue is also expected to launch later this year.
