Its properties provide work to approximately 7,000 employees and offer over 334 table games, 13,555 slot machines, and 91 food and beverage locations along with 561 hotel rooms for its guests to enjoy.
Up and Running Again
From 12 p.m. on Monday, July 18, 2022, guests of Grand Villa Casino Edmonton will be once again able to enjoy exceptional gaming and dining amenities at the premises. Tony Santo, President and CEO of the operator, shared that the team is eager to restart work at the facility and welcome back its staff and guests. He is now looking forward to providing an unforgettable experience for patrons.
The gaming property is located at Rogers Place on 10204 104 Ave NW, Edmonton, Alberta, and once it restarts operations it will be open seven days a week. Slots at the property will be up and running from 12 p.m. to 3 a.m., while table games will be available from 2 p.m. every day. The Centro Bar on the gaming will open at 12 p.m. and close at 2 a.m., informed the operator.
However, that is not all, as the company’s signature Match Eatery & Public House will also open its doors once again. The fine dining amenity will work every day from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. and offer premium food and drinks services. Update on Other Properties
Last week, Gateway Casinos & Entertainment also announced that it plans on hosting a job fair for its multi-million Wasaga Beach property in Ontario. The company wants to fill 140 positions and the event will take place at the Wasaga Beach RecPlex at 1724 Mosley St. on July 19, 2022, from 8:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Some of the available positions included cooks, bartenders, servers, dishwashers, hosts, cage and coin attendants, slot technicians, security and maintenance. A job fair means that the casino is one step closer to its official launch, which is scheduled for the end of the year However, the company’s Director of Communications and Public Affairs, Rob Mitchell, did not provide an exact date.
In addition to its Ontario project, the gaming conglomerate is also developing a CA$87 million Cascades Casino Delta in British Columbia. In February, the company issued a statement in which it mentioned that the progress of the project is going according to plan and that it continues to monitor the situation to ensure a safe environment for workers and the local community.
