Amplify Horse Racing announces a brand-new campaign which will help educate younger generations about the importance of Thoroughbred horse racing. The non-profit organization has opened registrations for behind-the-curtains educational tours at the historic Saratoga Race Course for youth and young adults. There will also be programming in August in Saratoga Springs, New York.
AHR is a 501(c)(3) organization which is devoted to providing Thoroughbred industry education, mentorship and career opportunities for youth and young adults. It invites all newcomers while also partners with existing educational initiatives, such as the Kentucky Equine Education Project (KEEP) Foundation, and creates new resources to further advance the sport.
Available This August
The organization invites everyone interested in the industry to join it at the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame on Monday, August 1, 2022, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. There they will attend the “Amplifying the Future of Racing,” which is a presentation on education, workforce and international opportunities in the Thoroughbred sport. It will be hosted by the non-profit and Together for Racing International.
In addition to that, the organization will also run an all-day behind-the-scenes educational tour experience for children and young adults. These “Experience Saratoga” will take place on August 10, 12, 17, and 19, 2022. Participants will be able to speak with many racing pros throughout the day while also being able to spectate morning training and day racing and visit the NMRHOF.
For this year’s edition of the tours, Amplify Horse Racing will partner with the Cornell Cooperative Extension service, including the Advanced Equine group and Animal Ambassadors. And once more several youths will be selected to join the Advanced Equine program, which will allow them to complete assignments and learn valuable leadership skills.
Last but not least, on August 21, 2022, from 10 a.m. to around 2 p.m., AHP will be presented at the Saratoga County Horse Farm Tour, which is run by CCE Equine. The latter is an adult education program in the Capital Region, and the event is open to the public. It will also feature numerous participating farms from the region.
