Woodbine Entertainment has always supported both the horse people of Ontario and the entire community through various programs and special initiatives. Such as devotion is here to prove that it is not all just for fun. Woodbine Cares Community Investment Program continues to give to the community, the Children’s Book Bank, the Community Association for the Riding Disabled, and many more organizations.
The horse racing leader of Ontario oversees Woodbine Racetrack and Woodbine Mohawk Park and their daily operation, but this does not prevent it from developing various initiatives, special events, and more programs. The Woodbine Cares Community Investment Program has as many as three guiding principles – Vibrant and Connected Communities, For the Love of Horses, and the Environment & Sustainability.
Community Investment Program
What makes this program so special is the fact that it comes with various legacy donations, microgrants, and the encouragement of different employee engagement opportunities. Individuals working at Woodbine Entertainment and the racetracks have the chance to volunteer and give their time to a good cause that needs their support. There are also many eco-friendly programs supporting a better future for our nature.
Many programs and organizations located in Toronto, the Greater Toronto Area, as well as other communities throughout southwestern Ontario feel the impact the Woodbine Cares Community Investment Program has on them. The Children’s Book Bank and the Community Association for the Riding Disabled are only two of these, encouraging the younger generation to read and explore the written world in a much more accessible way, as well as giving more people the chance to ride.
Woodbine Entertainment has supported the CARD-a-thon, which is a fundraising horse race aiming to support the organization. Over the past ten years, the horse racing leader has given upwards of CA$10,000,000 in financial and other donations on a regular basis.
Queen’s Plate
Queen’s Plate is another great event worth your attention when it comes to Woodbine Entertainment, as the renowned race is about to enhance this summer. The Canadian Triple Crown of Thoroughbred Racing is North America’s oldest continuously-run stakes event. Its first of three jewels is set to take place on August 21 and have its 163rd edition. Woodbine Entertainment has already launched tickets sales.
The most eager fans have the chance to purchase their ticket for the live race on May 27, 2022, starting at 10 a.m. through the authorized website. They would get the chance to see Canada’s top 3-year-old Thoroughbreds. Jim Lawson, Chief Executive Officer of Woodbine Entertainment, said recently that the vibrant energy of this horse racing event is a signature experience of every summer.
If you are yearning for a day at the races and the thrill of this traditional live event, prepare for the riveting experiences in August. Horse racing fans are going to make a day of it and spend some quality time with their loved ones or the entire family on the horse racetrack. This day is set to bring live entertainment on the premises of Woodbine Racetrack, all sorts of dining experiences, as well as Thoroughbred racing.
