At the start of this month, the Atlantic Lottery Corporation kicked off a new baseball promotion on its PRO•LINE online platform. Players who plan on taking advantage of the promotion will need to place a wager on at least one baseball event on prolinestadium.com. The wager must be at least CA$25 and it should be placed during the promotion time.
The ALC is a joint venture between the four Atlantic provinces, and it is a state-run agency that oversees land-based and online gambling, as well as lotteries in the region. The Crown corporation is devoted to providing safe and responsible gambling to its residents, and all of its gaming proceeds are reinvested into the four province’s economies.
The Details
In order to be eligible for the bonus, bettors must place a CA$25 or larger bet on a single PRO•LINE or STADIUM•BETS wager. The bet must feature at least one baseball game on prolinestadium.com from May 2, 2022, to June 5, 2022. Then will receive a CA$15 token that can be used on the that can be used on PRO•LINE, STADIUM•BETS, Fantasy, or Futures.
Players must know that there are only five tokens that can be acquired during the promotion period. A maximum of one CA$15 free-play token can be awarded for each PRO•LINE wager of $25 or more during one transaction. For example, if a gambler places aCA$50 or CA$75 they will generate one token of CA$15.
The ALC informed that the promotion will run from 06:00:00 Atlantic Standard Time (AST) on May 2, 2022, and it will conclude at 23:59:59 AST on June 5, 2022. Once a player is eligible for the credits, the token or tokens will be automatically added to their accounts. They will be displayed under the “Free Bet Tokens” on the checkout page when one is placing their eligible wager.
Those who manage to get their hands on the promotional tokens must know that they can only be used for purchases on prolinestadium.com, and cannot be used at retail locations. In addition to that, the tokens must be used before June 30, 2022, at 23:59:59 AST or they will be lost. They are also non-withdrawable, have no cash value, and cannot be used for the acquisition of more tokens.
Auditor General’s Report
Last month, the ALC and its operations were reviewed by Nova Scotia’s Auditor General Kim Adair who published a new report on the Crown entity. In the report, Ms. Adair points out that key governance reforms that were recommended to the ALC more than five years ago, are yet to be introduced. One of the issues was that the Crown did not perform a review of its underfunded pension plan.
New VLT Agreement
In April, the Crown agency also announced a brand-new partnership with International Game Technology. The latter’s IGT Canada Solutions ULC will distribute 1,375 CrystalDual® 27 cabinets to the Crown to use. Through the agreement, the provider will also debut its The Wild Life™, Big City 5’s™, The Big Easy™, and Royal Spins Deluxe™ titles in the region.
