Just a few days before the highly-anticipated launch of Ontario’s online betting and sports wagering market, Relax Gaming has also announced its entry. The award-winning supplier of B2B gaming products has been now approved by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario, thus marking another important milestone for its development as a leading supplier in the industry.
So far, plenty of others gaming operators have made their way into the province’s new and regulated market as they have also obtained the required permissions from the AGCO. The market officially kicks off operations on Monday, April 4, 2022, and registered brands under the AGCO will be able to legally offer their iGaming products to players from the province and other operators.
Significant Milestone
Relax Gaming believes in the potential of Ontario’s gambling industry and expects to quickly take a pole position among all other top North American jurisdictions. The aggregator and supplier of games shared that its license in the province is a massive milestone for its expansion not only in the local sector but into the North American one as well.
The company is considered one of the top brands when it comes to delivering world-class gaming products, as it has celebrated more than 10 global awards in 2021 and it is already nominated for new ones in 2022. It is expected that the provider has prepared approximately 130 games for the launch, which have been aggregated from 16 of its studio partners.
Alexia Smilovic Rønde, Chief Regulatory Officer at the iGaming supplier, said a few words for the occasion. She commented that the opening of Ontario’s regulated market is truly a turning point for the local gaming industry. According to her, the AGCO’s pragmatic regulation and approach will ensure good channelization from all stakeholders in the province over time.
Last but not least, Ms. Rønde shared that the company is more than delighted to be part of the journey from the very beginning. She is hopeful that their compliant portfolio and suite of Partners under its regulatory umbrella, will be able to make an instant impression with their entry into Ontario’s iGaming sector.
More Registered Entities
When the market commences operations on Monday, Relax Gaming will join over 20 licensed gaming and sports betting operators who have also been registered under the AGCO. Most recently, FanDuel broke the news that it will also join the regime, as it is ready to leverage its real-money FanDuel Sportsbook with embedded casino and standalone Casino apps in the region.
This week, prominent slot developer Blueprint Gaming and the operators’ site comparison brand Gambling Guy have also made their way into the local market. On Monday, Blueprint Gaming will offer over 50 titles from its portfolio, including The Goonies, Ted, Sausage Party, and Deal or No Deal games. While GamblingGuy will provide its top-notch expertise on current market offers and educate Ontario gamblers.
