This includes a Century Casino & Hotel in Edmonton, Alberta, Century Casino in St. Albert, Alberta, as well as the two aforementioned properties Century Mile Racetrack and Casino again in Edmonton, and Century Downs Racetrack in Calgary, Alberta. And the company is also looking into expanding its brand and offerings.

In addition to that, it will be also able to enable fixed-odds wagering opportunities on the two properties’ Thoroughbred and Standardbred live racing seasons and their races.
Century Downs has just kicked off its 2022 Meet on Saturday, 26, 2022, and through the agreement licensed operators from all over the world can now offer the track’s event for betting. This also includes Australian and Asian markets, which, currently the gaming operator does not have access to. While Century Downs is slated to have 61 dates for Standardbred with no Thoroughbred racing.
Sale Confirmed
In addition to that, not long ago, Century Casinos announced that on January 12, 2022, signed a deal for the sale of land and building for one of its properties – Century Casinos Calgary. The agreement is between the company’s subsidiary division Century Resorts Alberta and Rowanwood Financial Properties Ltd., and the deal is said to be worth around CA$8.1 million. Price was based on the exchange rate from January 12, 2022.
The agreement is subject to adjustments for property taxes and other revenues and expenses in relation to the property in question. The gaming company was the owner of the property for more than a decade, after acquiring it from Silver Dollar Casino for US$10.5 million 12 years ago. The facility was first to Rowanwood Financial Properties Ltd. back in 2020, but it has now been sold.
