FanDuel is determined to establish itself as the number one mobile sports betting operator in New York’s recently kicked off market. The company is already standing its ground against Caesars Entertainment, and last weekend launched a US$1,000 risk-free bet for newly registered users on its app. It applied to almost any game from last weekend.
The Empire State’s mobile sports betting market has just launched last month, but it is enjoying a tremendous start and interest from local gamblers. For its first month of operations, the total volume of online bets accepted reached the stunning US$2 billion, thus breaking numerous iGaming records in the country.
Up to US$1,000 in Credits
In order to prepare for last weekend’s sports events, and continue its momentum from the Super Bowl betting activity, FanDuel introduced this new risk-free promotion. Newly registered users on the company’s platform will have up to US$1,000 in risk-free betting credits, and there is plenty of action going on despite the end of the NFL season, as March Madness is right around the corner.
The promotion is quite straightforward, as new users will be able to be on any available market and if their wager fails, they will be automatically refunded in site credits. Thus, receiving one more opportunity of winning big. And if their bet turns out to be correct, then they receive the reward depending on the initial game odds.
In order to be able to take advantage of the promotion, players have to sign up for an account on the company’s app or website. Then, they will need to make a deposit of at least US$10 to qualify for the risk-free bet. It is advised to make an initial deposit in the amount that they plan to place on their first risk-free bet.
The sportsbook revealed that there is no need for a promo code or any special bonus code. And now, they are ready to place their wagers on sports. There is plenty of variety when it comes to placing sports wagers, as the NHL season continues in its full glory. Also, there is basketball, with teams trying to build their cases for an NCAA Tournament.
Shift in Dominance
According to the latest reports from the New York State Gaming Commission, FanDuel is starting to catch up to its rivals Caesars Sportsbook in the state mobile sports betting sector. According to the commission, for the week of the Super Bowl which ended on February 13, 2022, FanDuel had the highest mobile sports betting handle of US$175,437,706. While their rivals managed US$107,211,596 in online wagers.
Exploring Ontario Options
Besides its recent launch in the Empire State, FanDuel is also eyeing expansion into the Great White North, as Ontario will also be opening an iGaming sector for private operators this spring. Senior Growth Director of the company, Conor Murray, commented that the gaming operator must take a different approach with Canadian audiences. He also shared that they plan on making make sporting moments more engaging and entertaining with same-game parlays.
