Last Friday’s draw of the countrywide Lotto Max game did not determine a winner for the life-changing jackpot worth CA$60 million. This week, the main prize will continue to look for its big winner as the prize would now be climbing up to the staggering CA$65 million. The draw will be held on Tuesday, December 14, 2021.
Lotto Max is a quite popular lottery game across Canada with draws organized twice a week, and every year the game awards hundreds of millions of Canadian dollars to its players. The jackpot for the offering can reach the whooping CA$70 million, and once it passes the CA$50 million it awards several Maxmillion prizes per round.
Main Prize Grows Larger
Last Friday’s draw on December 10, 2021, players had the opportunity to play for a grand jackpot of CA$60 million. However, no one from the whole country managed to guess correctly all seven winning numbers. The next draw is scheduled for Tuesday, December 14, 2021, and it will offer an even larger jackpot in the amount of CA$65 million.
During last Friday’s draw for the fan-favorite game of many lottery enthusiasts, there were also six Maxmillion prizes up for grabs, each worth CA$1 million. Three of them were won by ticket holders from British Columbia, Quebec, and Atlantic Canada. One of the prizes will be split between two ticket holders. The next draw will offer a total of eight Maxmillion prizes.
Winners Announced
This week, the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation revealed that a couple from McGregor has won a Guaranteed CA$1 million prize for another popular draw-based game – Lotto 6/49. The November 27 draw has awarded the couple with an early Christmas present, as Kimberly and Gary Noel will be now looking forward to spending their hefty windfall.
After arriving at an OLG office to claim their cheque the winners shared that they are not the typical keen lottery players, but they rather play it occasionally. Ms. Noel revealed that she purchased the ticket online on OLG.ca on the night of the draw and woke up to an email from the OLG that she had won CA$1,000,000.
Other Recent Winners
More news from the OLG last week saw the reports that a ticket holder from Ontario has won the impressive CA$8.8 million from Lotto 6/49. So far, the only revealed details are that the lucky ticket holder is located somewhere in Mississauga, and their identity will be revealed once they claim their prize at an OLG centre.
Louis Montroy from Brandon, Manitoba has also recently joined the club of Canadian lottery millionaires as he has won CA$5 million also from Lotto 6/49. Mr. Montroy purchased the winning ticket at the Canadian Tire Gas Bar located at 1655 18 Street in Brandon, and his lucky numbers 10, 11, 18, 20, 35, and 48 were later drawn as the winning positions in November 24 draw of the game.
