Recently, Gateway Casinos and Entertainment has provided some tremendous news for the gambling enthusiasts from North Bay, Ontario and the region. The gaming conglomerate revealed that its Cascades Casino North Bay is well on schedule and the new gaming amenity is on track to make its grand opening in the first few months of 2022.
The company’s casino project in North Bay dates back from 2019, but the development of the site was delayed due to the emergence of the unprecedented situation. Work at the soon-to-be casino located on Pinewood Park Drive was allowed to resume this April, and now the property is following its new schedule well.
Early 2022 Launch
Currently, Rob Mitchell, Director of Communications and Public Affairs for the company developer, provided an update on the new gambling location. He said that the development of the site is going quite well and that the company is pleased with the achieved progress to this date. At the start of 2022, the casino will join the company’s list of 26 gaming properties across Canada.
The representative also informs that the company is in the middle of the process of hiring staff members for the grand opening of the new property. According to him, the available job positions have been posted on the recruitment website Indeed.ca. Additionally, the property will be also hosting an online job fair from December 7 to December 15, 2021.
For anyone interested in the available job vacancies, the company operator informs that there will be plenty of variety to apply for. Positions start from shift managers, card dealers, cooks, bartenders, kitchen staff, technicians, and cleaning staff, and many more. It is believed that the CA$31 million property would generate over 300 jobs for locals.
Mr. Mitchell continued by saying that the company has been in regular communication with the Mayor of North Bay, Al McDonald, along with local MPs to ensure that the casino will be able to open in Q1 of 2022. The spokesperson has also added that the company is working on an official date for the opening, which should be provided shortly.
Previously, the spokesperson for the company also revealed that the North Bay property of the company will be adopting a similar exterior and interior design to the ones at the corporation’s Cascades Casino Chatham. The new venue is also set to feature the company’s trademark Match Eatery and Public House, as well as The Buffet which are both premium dining facilities.
One More New Property
At this time, Gateway Casinos and Entertainment is also working on launching one more brand-new gaming property but in British Columbia. The name of the new venue will be Cascades Casino Delta and it will cost the company approximately CA$87 million. According to the company, work at this site is also going to plan, but a concrete date for its official launch has not been provided.
