Lotto 6/49 is a nationwide draw-based game that awards hundreds of millions of Canadian dollars to its player every year. Winning tickets are drawn on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
Jackpot Now Split
The Crown corporation of Ontario confirms that the Toronto trio has won a jackpot worth over CA$21,000,000. The exact value of the win is CA$21,185,218.10, thus awarding them for playing together for 16 years.
Mr. Nitsotolis was the one to discover about the major lottery win, as he explains that after waking one morning and checking his emails, he saw confetti on the screen. He explains that he initially thought the winning amount was CA$21,000, and he had to rub his eyes to be able to focus the number on the screen with the many zeros.
After realizing that the winning amount was actually the staggering CA$21 million, Mr. Nitsotolis immediately called the other two ticket holders and delivered them the amazing news. While claiming their cheque, the trio said that they have not yet come up with a way to spend their enormous winning, but they will certainly find it a purpose.
The Crown corporation also confirmed that Tuesday’s draw for the other quite popular Canadian game Lotto Max did not determine a winner for the jackpot. With the Tuesday, November 23 draw, the prize stood at the hefty CA$22 million but no one won it. The next draw will be on Friday, November 26, and it will offer a jackpot of CA$27 million.
