The Lotto Max jackpot stood at CA$12 million during its last draw on Tuesday, November 16, 2021. Unfortunately, for all ticket holders from Canada, the jackpot remained intact. None of the purchased tickets for the round managed to guess correctly the winning combination, and thus the main prize will grow even bigger for the next draw on Friday.
The draw-based game is a nationwide played lottery offering that can offer a jackpot in the amount of the stunning CA$70 million. Once the jackpot reaches CA$50 million, the draws also feature several Maxmillion prizes, which estimates to be a hefty CA$1 million prize each. Tickets for the game are available in both land-based retailers and online.
Now Even Larger Prize
Due to the jackpot being left out unclaimed during Tuesday’s draw, it will now stand at an even bigger amount. The next draw is scheduled for Friday, November 19, 2021, and the main prize will be in the size of the life-changing CA$17 million. In order to be part of the draw, lottery players must purchase their tickets before the deadline which is right before the draw.
More lottery highlights from the country this week, include the winning of a hefty CA$1,000,000 prize by a Saskatoon resident. This has been the third lottery win in Saskatoon over the course of the last few weeks, each being at least CA$1 million. The name of the latest winner is Marilyn Longman, and fate smiled upon her during the November 10 draw of Lotto 6/49.
While at Sask Lotteries office to claim her prize bag, Ms. Longman shared that she was in complete shock after finding out that she had won such a big amount from the lottery. The winner currently does not have any particular plans for the prize, but she intends on enjoying financial freedom for a while. The winning ticket was purchased from the Co-op Westview Centre at 1624 33rd St. W. and its winning number was 31085475-02.
This week, the Atlantic Lotter Corporation also revealed that a ticket holder from Newfoundland and Labrador is the winner of a lifelong cash prize. The winning ticket was determined during the November 15 draw of the Daily Grand lottery and the winner will receive CA$25,000 every year from now on. The Crown entity reminds everyone from the region to check their tickets.
Even More Winners
More recent news from the Canadian lottery industry saw a Quebecer win the mind-blowing amount of CA$50 million from the other popular game – Lott Max. Loto-Québec informed that the November 12, 2021 draw determined that a ticket holder from the province of Quebec is the big winner for the round. The lucky individual will now have up to 52 weeks to claim their prize.
A while back the country also saw a Lotto 6/49 being split between two different ticket holders. The jackpot was in the amount of CA$11,580,839, and according to the lotteries, one of the winners resides in Ottawa, Ontario, and the other in Prince Rupert, British Columbia. The life-changing numbers for both players were 7, 18, 19, 38, 42, and 46 and each ticket is now eligible for a slice of CA$5,790,419.90.
