Unfortunately for all lottery players from Canada, last Friday’s Lotto Max game did not determine a winner for its main prize. The jackpot for the fan-favorite game stood at around the life-changing amount of CA$35 million, however, no purchased tickets from all the Canadian provinces matched the winning seven numbers combo.
Lotto Max is arguably the most preferred lottery game in Canada, as it offers huge winning possibilities with a jackpot that can reach CA$70,000,000. Every week there are two draws for the nationwide lottery game and once the jackpot amounts to CA$50 million, participants also have the chance to win a Maxmillion prize, which is worth the hefty CA$1 million.
No Winning Tickets
The last draw for Lotto Max was held on Friday, November 5, 2021, but it came with some bad news for all participants in the draw. The jackpot worth CA$35 million was not claimed by anyone in the country. However, players should not get discouraged as they will have another chance at the mega prize with the next draw.
On Tuesday, November 9, 2021, the jackpot for the game will grow larger and it will be in the amount of CA$41 million. Players can now purchase tickets for the game either online at the respective digital platform in their province or at retail lottery locations. The draw will be held as usual after 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday night.
Winners Revealed
At the start of this month, the BCLC officially awarded Chee Yee Fong from British Columbia his Maxmillion prize from Lotto Max. Mr. Fong saw his ticket being drawn as the winner of the prize in the June 15 draw. The Port Coquitlam resident said that with the impressive reward he will get even more tango lessons and step up his skills, as well as invest in his health.
Recently, the Western Canada Lottery Corporation also revealed that a Western 6/49 ticket from Saskatoon has been drawn as the winner of the November 3 draw last Wednesday. The ticket matched all the winning numbers during the draw, and it is now worth CA$2 million. The winner will now have up to 52 weeks to contact the agency and claim their substantial winning.
Second-Largest Win
The province of Saskatchewan has recently witnessed another major lottery win, as Matthew Poppels from Saskatoon became the winner of the CA$55 million Lotto Max prize. This is the second-largest lottery win in the province, and it took only eight days for Mr. Poppels to claim his prize, after his ticket was drawn as the lucky one in the October 19 round of the popular draw-based game.
B.C. Winner Identified
Western Canadians have been quite lucky when it comes to winning the lottery recently, as previously Christine Lauzon from B.C. won the life-changing CA$70,000,000 again from Lotto Max. The Burnaby resident recently claimed her prize, and she shared that the numbers that brought her the win in the September 28 draw were selected randomly with the Quick Pick feature. This was the largest lotto win in the history of the province.
