Someone from the province of Saskatchewan is now immensely richer as reported by the Western Canadian Lottery Corporation. In a recent announcement, the Crown agency informs that a ticket holder from the province has matched all winning numbers in this Tuesday’s Lotto Max round. The winner is now CA$55,000,000 richer.
Every year Canadians win hundreds of millions of Canadian dollars from Lotto Max, as the game is one of the most generous ones when it comes to payouts. The jackpot can reach the mind-blowing amount of CA$70,000,000 and once the main prize climbs to CA$50,000,000 participants can also win a Maxmillion prize worth CA$1,000,000.
Mega Jackpot Now Claimed
On Wednesday, the WCLC revealed that a ticket holder from Saskatchewan or Saskatoon more specifically is the next big Canadian lottery millionaire. The lucky lottery player is now the single winner of the Lotto Max jackpot, which is estimated to be the life-changing amount of CA$55 million. The identity of the winner will be announced once they claim their winnings.
The winner or the winners will have up to a full calendar year to contact the Crown agency and claim their prize. Their winning numbers for the Tuesday draw were 12, 26, 28, 32, 41, 43, and 50. This is the second-largest lottery win in the history of the province. Now, for Friday the jackpot will reset to its initial amount.
Lotto 6/49 Winner Revealed
Additionally, the British Columbia Lottery Corporation has revealed the identity of the previously announced Lotto 6/49 winner from B.C. The name of the lucky ticket holder is Juanita Parnell and she is from Prince Rupert. After matching all six winning numbers in the draw in order to take home the prize of CA$5,790,419.90. Ms. Parnell split the jackpot with one more ticket holder.
After claiming her prize, the winner explained that her win almost did not happen as she barely made the ticket purchase deadline for the draw. Her numbers 7, 18, 19, 38, 42, and 46, the ones that she started playing with, have now finally paid off. With the money, she plans on taking her grandchildren to Disney World, and enjoying a vacation together.

Recently, the BCLC also announced that a ticket holder from the province is the winner of the CA$70,000,000 jackpot in the Lotto Max game for the September 28 draw. The identity of the winner is yet unknown but the agency reported that the fortunate ticket holder resides in Burnaby. This win was the largest ever lottery prize-winning in the history of B.C.
This week, the WCLC also revealed that Jerry Knott, from Wasagamack, Manitoba has also joined the list of Canadian lottery millionaires. Mr. Knott’s Lotto Max ticket was drawn as the winner of CA$20 million jackpot a few weeks ago. After obtaining his prize, the winner shared that he discovered his massive win while he was in Winnipeg for his daughter’s wedding, meaning that he had two occasions to celebrate.
