The British Columbia Lottery Corporation continues to improve its already impressive set of gaming offerings. Most recently the Crown agency informed that it will be introducing more e-Instant products from its long-term partner IWG. The leading supplier will now provide its premium progressive jackpots to the Crown’s online platform PlayNow.com.
IWG is a leading supplier of e-Instant and instant games to WLA and NASPL-member lottery corporations. The provider has a resume of 20 years of developing and supplying top-performing games. It has developed over 300 new InstantGames™ for its partners from the lottery industry, and its games always impress with substantial sales and performances.
Adding More Depth
PlayNow.com e-Instants offerings will be now improved thanks to the Crown’s partner IWG and the products will be now branded as InstaJackpots BCLC. Three in-game instant win jackpot prizes will be available on the platform for players to enjoy and try and win the big prizes. This integration further cements the fruitful relationship between the two sides.
The first of the three games will be a mini jackpot which will be awarded several times per day. Then there will also be a mid-tier jackpot which will be paid out twice a week. Then, the third and largest prize pool game will be most likely held twice every month. The draws could be a subject of change as it depends on the volume of players.
With the launch of InstaJackpots BCLC, players of the Crown agency will be able to also enjoy two e-Instant games from IWG’s portfolio of titles. These two titles will feature the linked progressive jackpots functionality, as even more titles from the supplier’s content will be provided to the Crown corporation’s website.
The provider’s linked progressive technology is delivered by the company’s InstantRGS™ remote game server, which allows an easy launch with no additional development support from the lottery corporation. Previously, the supplier instant and e-Instant games was awarded a five-year contract extension by the BCLC, thus continuing their exceptional collaboration.
New Data Provider
In August, the BCLC also announced that it has officially found its next data provider with Genius Sports Limited. This was the Crown prepares for the future of single-sports wagering in the country, and their partner has established relationships with over 400 sporting organizations and leagues. This includes the NFL, EPL, FIBA, NCAA, NASCAR, AFA, and PGA, and the BCLC will have access to its LiveData and LiveTrading brands.
Fiscal Results Revealed
Also in August, the Crown corporation published its 2020-2021 fiscal performance stats. The agency reported an impressive increase in revenue with record-breaking figures from its lottery and eGaming offerings. For the financial 2020/21 year, the corporation has provided over CA$419 million in net revenue for the province. Most of it coming from its PlayNow platform, which will be now used for the local economy of B.C.
