CEO of the BetRegal Mike Mirtl has most recently shared his plans on returning to his hometown of North Bay, Ontario, and support the local economy. His plan is the establish a BetRegal Office there, which would create more job positions for locals. However, it is still unknown how many positions will be provided with the project.
The CEO of the gaming company is still an owner of a property in North Bay, and he previously signed a local partnership deal with King Sportswear. Through this deal, the latter is helping out with promotional materials for BetRegal. The gaming company has previously entered into an agreement with the Canadian Football League.
Coming 2022
Mr. Mirtl who long ago was in the banking sector has moved into the offshore gaming industry 16 years ago said that the company’s offices are located in Costa Rica, Malta, and Curacao. He shared that the company employs around 200 people in customer contact and support, and in development and marketing roles. His idea is to support the local economy of North Bay in any way he could.
As of currently, the CEO cannot give a final figure on how many people the new office will be able to employ. In his words, his plan is to launch a contact centre in the area, that could provide work for part-time workers or people from Nipissing University or from the Canadore Athletic Department. He said that an office at North Bay would be the ideal place to call home.
Mr. Mirtl is optimistic that the project can be materialized as soon as 2022. He is hopeful that the plan can be executed in a quick manner, as the company expects to receive its license from the province by the end of this year. Once they have a license, the CEO believes that the company will be able to enjoy a flying start in its Ontario launch.
In August the federal government of Canada officially enacted Bill C-218, which now allows provinces to offer sports betting on individual sporting events. Mr. Mirtl explained that this provides his company with a tremendous opportunity to join the growing gaming industry of the country, but they first need to acquire a license. The CEO will soon travel to North Bay with the idea of creating some casino partnerships.
Sponsorship Agreement
In August, BetRegal entered a three-year agreement with PGA Canada. This way the federation was able to improve its offerings and player experience for the PGA Championship of Canada presented by TaylorMade Golf and Adidas Golf experience. The 2022 tournament will be the 100th edition of the competition and it will start on August 4 to August 7 in Bromont, Quebec.
One More Collab
Not long ago the gaming brand BetRegal announced its newest agreement with the Canadian Football League. Now the company is the official sports gaming partner of the leagues. Also, CFL Hall of Fame members, Damon Allen and Matt Dunigan will join the company’s team as ambassadors. The agreement was completed at a crucial time just in time for the start and return of the CFL season.
