Almost every week a new lottery millionaire emerges in Canada, and this week has also witnessed several big lottery prizes across the country. Eiko Yamase from Richmond, British Columbia is the latest lotto player to join the millionaire club as the woman wins CA$1,000,000 from the fan-favorite Lotto Max game.
After arriving at a BCLC office to claim her prize, Ms. Yamase shared more details on her major win and herself. The Richmond mother who in her spare time enjoys watching Netflix or YouTube said that she could not believe her own eyes after seeing her ticketās numbers matched all the winning numbers in the draw.
June 18 Draw
Ms. Yamase was fortunate enough to have her lottery ticket drawn as the winning one a while back in the Friday, June 18 draw of the popular Lotto Max game. She is now a proud possessor of a Maxmillion prize which accumulates to the life-changing amount of CA$1,000,000. After seeing her numbers perfectly align with the winning one, the woman had trouble processing the fact she was the winner.
She also revealed some of her plans with the huge prizing, as she intends to put a portion of the money into her childrenās education. And for herself, she wants to take a trip off her bucket list, as in her words after arriving in the country she has always wanted to visit Toronto, Halifax, and Prince Edward Island. With the money, she will certainly be able to do so.
Sault Ste. Marie Couple Wins Hefty Prize
There has been a reveal of one more big winner from the past or winners to be exact. The OLG reported yesterday that Sault Ste. Marie couple that Ken Marshall and Debby Chapman are winners of Maxmillion prize in the Lotto Max game. Their ticket was drawn as eligible for the hefty CA$1,000,000 prize back on June 4, 2021.
The couple shared that they love playing the lotto games due to the big prizes and that they are regular players of the draw-based game. After arriving at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto, Ms. Chapman explained that she had to check her ticket a couple of times after she saw the Big Winner text. With the money, they plan on purchasing a new trailer for them, share the money with their family, and save a portion of them for retirement.
Even More Maxmillion Winners
This week the OLG has revealed one more winner of a Maxmillion prize, as Antoine Beaini from Milton arrived at the Crownās office to claim his winnings. The 67-year-old man is now CA$1,000,000 richer as his ticket matched the winning one for one of the Maxmillion prizes during the June 18 draw of Lotto Max. The winner said that he has been playing the lottery since 1982 and his numbers have now finally paid off.
During the June sky-rocketing of lottery prizes in the Lotto Max game, two Manitoba ticket holders have also claimed a Maxmillion prize. According to the Western Canada Lottery Corporation, the first winner is located in Winnipeg, and the other one is somewhere in the province. Winnipegās ticket winning numbers were 1, 19, 22, 39, 40, 45, and 48, and the other ones were 1, 12, 30, 36, 41, 45, and 47.
