Seneca Resorts and Casinos officially announced the cancelation of live events that were supposed to take place over the months until the end of this year. Live shows at Seneca Niagara Event Center, Seneca Niagara Bear’s Den Showroom, and Seneca Allegany Event Center have been canceled and there won’t be live performances over the upcoming three months.
The unprecedented situation has taken its toll on New York State in its entirety, including the gambling scene. Commercial casino resorts have been closed for months before they received a green light to relaunch their operation recently. Tribal gambling hotspots such as the venues overseen by Seneca Nation of Indians have had the chance to operate ever since the beginning of this summer.
Canceling of Live Performances
Several months after the tribal casino resorts relaunched operation, their management has made it clear that all live entertainment shows through January will have to be canceled. They span over a wide range of genres and target audiences. One of the first live shows that will be affected by the announced cancelations will be The Village People one. It was scheduled to span over November 5 and 6.
Starting at 8 p.m. on both evenings, locals were ready to enjoy everything happening on stage and tickets have already been purchased for the Seneca Niagara Casino. However, that would not happen due to the recent cancelation of the live shows. Another performance that was canceled was the Aaron Lewis one that was supposed to transform January 30 into a special evening for the locals.
The original plan was for it to commence at 7 p.m. but that won’t be happening either. Individuals that have purchased a ticket will get the chance to use them for the rescheduled dates of the live shows. For the time being, Seneca Resorts and Casinos has not unveiled new dates, but projections are that they would take place in February 2021. Refunds are also available at the original point of sale of the ticket.
Special Awards
These past few days have been quite eventful for the Seneca Nation of Indians and their gaming operations across New York State. Seneca Resorts and Casinos was awarded some premium spots in the Best of Gaming 2020 Awards of Casino Player magazine. The tribal casino operator was in the top three in 28 categories bringing as many as 35 total awards.
Its casino resorts were praised for various features. Seneca Allegany Resort and Casino bagged the first-place prize for best rooms and best slot tournaments. Nin addition to that, Seneca Niagara in Niagara Falls took the top spot for best keno and best carnival games available. These special prizes aim to show that both locations are capable of bringing premium gaming to the table.
Seneca Niagara, Seneca Buffalo, and Seneca Allegany were all recognized for their best sportsbook promotions, best betting options, best hotel, best hosts, best suites, best dealers, best spa and best golf course.
