Seneca Gaming Corporation is ready for some changes when it comes to the staff members associated with its tribal venues across New York State. The tribal gaming leader made it clear that some 150 job positions within its structure have been nixed. They affect all three of the tribal casino locations overseen by the Native American tribe.
Seneca Nation of Indians was among the first tribal nations to relaunch in-person casino gaming once they considered it safe enough for patrons to enter their premises. June 18 saw the official return of Seneca Niagara Resort and Casino along with the gaming halls located in Irving, Salamanca, and Cuba. However, the overall pace of recovery has led to the elimination of about 150 job positions.
150 Job Positions Cut
All three casino locations are affected by the employment cuts the tribal nation had to make. The venues in question are Seneca Allegany Resort and Casino in Salamanca, Seneca Buffalo Creek Casino, as well as its casino resort in Niagara Falls, New York. The tribal gaming corporation reminded that the three casino venues remained close for about 90 days.
This lockdown has had its impact on the gaming revenue and subsequently on the people involved in the daily operation of the venues. Those 150 job positions cut are sprinkled across the operations department of the Seneca Gaming Corporation. A confirmation has been issued that the staff members will eventually receive the chance to occupy other positions within the structure of the tribal gaming leader.
Seneca Gaming Corporation pointed out that the long months of now casino operation have made it impossible for all departments of the tribal casino structure to return to their normal operation. Even though the three casino venues have relaunched operation mid-June, there are still some restrictions issued by the government they have to follow, ultimately reducing the number of patrons allowed on their premises at all times.

All players making their way inside the venue have to wear face masks for their own protection, as well as for the protection of their fellow casino enthusiasts. The players who have forgotten their masks can receive a complimentary one upon entering the casino hotspot. People should expect a temperature check upon entering the casino location.
Casino patrons should also keep in mind that the venue is not going to allow smoking. This is a measure that will be in place at least for the first weeks of operation. Other limitations have also been implemented by the Seneca Nation of Indians. Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino works with new working hours and players should bear in mind that they are reduced between 10 a.m. and 2 a.m.
The upcoming weeks are projected to see more development on the subject. The individuals that had been occupying these 150 job positions are also projected to receive more information regarding their future employment in the foreseeable future. In the meantime, commercial casinos and racinos across New York State remain closed and without a timeline for their reopening.
