NeoPollard Interactive has been on a quest to improving the online gaming space and making it even more attractive for a wider audience of online gaming enthusiasts. Its latest collaboration is with Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis Commission. The new agreement is going to cover the upcoming seven years of online gaming within the province.
It could be recalled that the beginning of this year was quite exciting for the Canadian province of Alberta. During the discussions regarding the 2020 provincial budget, it became clear that the province wants to see the official launch of online gaming. The need for this type of gaming offering was further proven by the unprecedented situation that closed all brick-and-mortar casinos for months.
Online Gaming Coming Soon
Online betting and gambling have become one of the most popular forms of gaming nowadays, due to its convenience and the easy access people have to it. Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis Commission revealed its plans for introducing online gaming at the beginning of March, as the 2020 budget was still considered. Preparation in advance was needed for this milestone move.
It could be recalled that last year the gaming commission overseeing Alberta’s gaming gave a green light to a request for proposals. This made it possible for providers to claim their place as the official partner in this online gaming quest. NeoPollard Interactive ended up meeting all expectations and proving to be the most appropriate online gaming expert to team up with Alberta’s gaming commission.
Pollard Banknote is the parent company of NeoPollard, but it should be noted that the latter has not had Canadian operations up until this point. NeoPollard operates across the United States in regions to the likes of Virginia, New Hampshire, Michigan, and North Carolina. In the meantime, Pollard Banknote is renowned across Canadian provinces, as it collaborates with many of the provincial Crown corporations.
NeoPollard Enters the Field
The ticket printing company works with Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation, British Columbia Lottery Corporation, Loto-Québec, Western Canada Lottery Corporation, and the Atlantic Lottery Corporation. Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis Commission made it clear that the new collaboration is going to extend over the upcoming seven years of operation. Once this agreement reaches its deadline, there would be an optional twelve-year extension.
The new online gaming platform is expected to be an advanced one, as NeoPollard has proven its professional attitude throughout the years. Individuals above the age of 18 who are physically located in Alberta will get the chance to gamble online in a regulated manner for the first time. What is essential for the new online gaming space is that it provides a safe area where people could enjoy online gambling.
This includes advanced player protection tools aiming to prevent problem gambling and offer players more security while wagering online. Easy access to online betting has stirred the pot and caused gambling addiction concerns in the past. Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis Commission will aim to eliminate this negative factor.
