Cascades Casino Delta might have to be postponed in time, as to ensure that the project is reliable and meets the expectations of players. Gateway Casinos & Entertainment recently made it clear that the casino complex would be finished by the end of 2021. Delta residents would have to wait an additional year for the CA$70-million projectās official launch, according to the new timeline of the project.
Could Cascades Casino Delta launch sooner than expected? Now that has been confirmed impossible at this point, even though the project has been in the works ever since the fall of 2018. Through ups and downs, the casino complex might see the light of day almost a year after its originally projected launch date in the fourth quarter of 2020.
Q4 2021 Sees Launch
Gateway Casinos recently issued more information regarding the gaming project that is expected to make Delta the hotspot when it comes to gaming and entertainment events. Along with that, the casino is also expected to provide the mandatory gaming revenue allocations to the host community that would support various local projects. People hailing from near and far are expected to make their way to Delta for live events.
However, the casino operator confirmed that the official completion of the casino complex would be delayed with a year. The last quarter of 2021 is expected to see the official launch of operation on the premises of the casino venue. In addition to that, the complex is also going to feature a hotel tower adjacent to it, making it possible for individuals to extend their stay ad enjoy more of the local offerings.
Gateway Casinos has already penned a partnership with a third-party company that would work on the hotel venue and subsequently oversee it. For the time being, the hospitality company in question has not been publicly disclosed. Tanya Gabara, Director of Public Relations for the casino operator pointed out that the site is currently being prepared.
Hotel Venue Management Found
The initial stages of the construction include ground preparation making it possible for the construction company to break ground in the most efficient manner possible. Land preparation has been in progress for the past several weeks, paving the way for the groundbreaking ceremony in the upcoming months. The new timeline of the project comes as a result of the change of approach when it comes to Cascades Casino Delta.
Gateway Casinos wants to see all components of the complex launch simultaneously, meaning that the project would need more time. This approach was considered better, as opposed to multiple phases one that would see the casino launch first, followed by the hotel at a later point or vice versa. Collaboration with British Columbia Lottery Corporation would see the official announcement of the gaming floor layout in the near future.
Delays have gone hand in hand with the project ever since its announcement, as the Ministry of Transportation took its time to give its nod. It issued an official response in the spring of 2019, following months of consideration. More than 4,000 individuals could be convinced to gamble in their own city instead of traveling to a nearby one. This would support the city coffers and further improve Delta.
