The lottery world offers everything a player could need when it comes to gaming potential and a relatively low risk rate of problem gambling. Lotto MAX and Lotto 6/49 saw heated several weeks in June and brought substantial cash prizes to some winners.
Others remain unknown for the time being and are expected to claim their share of the jackpots in the foreseeable future. An Edmonton resident recently bagged his CA$15-million slice of a Lotto 6/49 jackpot.
The two most popular lottery games in Canada witnessed a special period of high jackpot payouts rates and lucky draws over the past few weeks. Millions of Canadian dollars await their rightful winners that have less than 52 weeks to bag them and make the best of the unexpected windfall they have received. Lorne Nakonechny from Edmonton recently bagged his CA$14,900,823.50 slice of the June 15 Lotto 6/49 jackpot that was shared by two tickets.
Lottery Jackpots Sprinkled over June
When it comes to a jackpot, sometimes a draw could result in a shared prize for people that have never met before and could even live in different provinces. Regardless of this, they are connected for life by this joint experience that has changed them. June 15 saw a Lotto 6/49 jackpot of CA$30 million and two tickets eligible for it.
One of them had been purchased in Edmonton while the other belonged to another individual from Alberta. The only information publicly issued at this point is that the second ticket has not been purchased in Edmonton or Calgary. The winning numbers were 10, 19, 24, 30, 35, and 49. Now the Western Canada Lottery Corporation announced that Mr. Nakonechny has reached out to bag his share of the jackpot.
He recalls scanning the lottery ticket with the WLCL app that facilitates the process and guarantees no mistakes while checking the ticket numbers. He could not believe his eyes upon realizing his ticket was among the two winning ones. The Edmonton man then scanned the ticket several more times just to make sure.
Lotto MAX Proves Generosity
The second winner has yet to get in touch with the WCLC and claim their share of the jackpot. This weekend came with a Lotto 6/49 jackpot reaching CA$12 million, which remained untouched. July 3 is projected to bring CA$16 million and many more enthusiasts willing to bag it.
As for Lotto MAX, it was quite the successful week, as a ticket purchased in Ottawa could soon claim its CA $20-million jackpot. The fortunate piece of paper has the numbers 2, 14, 15, 23, 27, 44, and 45 printed on it and could soon make someone a multimillionaire. Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation recommends that all capital residents check their lottery tickets, as they could be sleeping on their grand prize.
Last month was also lucky for this lottery game, as June 14 saw a CA$19million jackpot being bagged by two lottery tickets on the Prairies, as well as in Ontario. The Manitoban player recently bagged their CA$9.5-million share. July 2 is projected to bring a Lotto MAX jackpot reaching CA$15 million, proving the high popularity of this gaming offering.
