Upcoming months are set to bring many renovations to Innisfil as Gateway Casinos is going to dedicate its efforts to a casino expansion and introducing many new features and gaming offerings on site. The casino venue situated at Georgian Downs will see as many as 26 brand-new table games brought to the casino floor, as well as a new sign right above the main entrance of the venue.
Former OLG Slots adjacent to Georgian Downs is one of the preferred gaming locations in the area and this was one of the main reasons why Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation decided it will be best to include it in the Central Gaming Bundle. In July, Gateway Casinos purchased the said pack of casino locations including Casino Rama Resort, OLG Slots, and the permit for construction of a gaming facility in Wasaga Beach.
Casino Expansion Brings 26 Table Games
This move aimed to bring a breath of fresh air to the region, as well as introduce new investments and improvements to the casino venues already in operation. Throughout the years they have proven their success among patrons and refurbishment could be just what the doctor ordered. It has been confirmed now that the casino venue is going to witness the introduction of as many as 26 new table games, providing more people with the chance to give their luck a try.
The investment will aim to attract new potential casino patrons on site of the facility, but in the meantime, they will also bring as many as 100 new work positions at the location previously known as OLG Slots. Over the span of the following several months installment will be in progress and according to the officially issued information they will be fully operational by March 1.
At the moment the location is able to provide its casino patrons with slot devices only, significantly limiting their gaming opportunities. Several months from now this is expected to change if everything goes according to plan. Casino venue management will seek to find the most suitable candidates for the new job positions in the months leading to the official launch of operation of the 26 table games.
New Sign Reflects New Management
At its current state, the gaming floor ended up being not big enough for the table games, but this problem was quickly solved thanks to the decision of repurposing an area of the building previously used for storage. This change came as a result of the approval of the landlord, since it means that the building permit itself has to be updated.
The 26 table games will be placed at the 3,500-square-feet of space which has now been introduced. Members of the community already ask questions about the games which will be available on site. In the past weeks improvements to the site simply do not cease, as last week the casino venue saw a brand new light up sign being installed.
It aims to reflect the rebranding of the venue and the new management on site. The signage reads Gateway Casinos Innisfil on a black font, keeping it simple and classy. It replaced the previous light up sign bearing the OLG branding and bright colors.
