Following the extremely successful MILLIONS Grand Final which ended in Barcelona this weekend, partypoker LIVE is bringing the excitement of live poker tournaments to Canadian players. Montreal is now welcoming 2018 partypoker LIVE MILLIONS North America, the poker festival with the biggest guaranteed prize pool in Canada. The CA$15 million GTD festival comes with six events and promises to make at least three poker enthusiasts millionaires in its Main Event.
The prestigious festival kicks off April 21 and continues through May 2, 2018, at Montreal’s Playground Poker Club. Online satellites are underway until April 25, so players from Canada and the rest of the world have the chance to qualify for the CA$5,300 Buy-in Main Event for as little as $0.50. The prize pool includes the epic CA$10 million in guarantees, making it the most exciting poker tournament during the festival. With additional Day 1 and Day 2 held at Deerfoot Casino, Calgary on April 17 and April 18, the Main Event actually starts with five Day 1s on April 24 at the Playground Poker Club in Montreal.
The venue chosen for 2018 partypoker LIVE MILLIONS North America championship has hosted other major events, so most Canadian poker players should be familiar with it. It is situated not in the City of Montreal, but across the St. Lawrence River, in Kahnawake. Along with the Main Event, the festival will run five more events, all boasting guaranteed prize pools of CA$1 million. Among them will be a CA$10,300 High Roller, a CA$25,500 Super High Roller, as well as a Turbo tournament with CA$1,100 entry. Daily cash games – both No-limit Hold’em and Pot-limit Omaha, will also run throughout the festival.
