Poker-SM Online Championship Series 2018
The Swedish Poker-SM Online Championship Series started in 2016 as a single event but in 2014, it expanded to a large festival where players could choose more variants than just the traditional no-limit Texas Hold’em. In 2016, the online poker festival partnered with online cardroom 888poker and started to run on its platform. This year poker pros will play in the 120-minute levels of the PSMO Main Event for $15,000 guarantee.
The schedule includes several other exciting events such as the $55 buy-in PSMO DeepStack on April 8, the $320 PSMO Texas High Roller 6-Max, and the $320 buy-in PSMO PLO High Roller 6-Max which will run on April 22. Five of the events in the season will offer rankings for the PSMO leaderboard, but the Main Event is not included.
Several top Swedish players are expected to take part in the championship, including 888poker Ambassador Sofia Lövgren and 2014 WSOP Champion Martin Jacobson. Other poker pros who have participated in the series are Jerry “perrymejsen” Ödeen, who won SEK10,000 + 1,000 Poker-SM 2017 No Limit Hold’em – Main Event and WSOP bracelet winner Peter Eichardt. Among the previous PSMO Main Event winners are Pontus Magnusson and Emma Wikberg.
