The London-based provider of gaming solutions Nektan PLC announced earlier today, 10th August, that the whole package of games included in its in-venue mobile gaming platform has gone live at a tribal-owned Californian casino, offering real-money prizes for the first time.
The company announced that the in-venue gaming product is delivered through Nektan’s US subsidiary Respin Games to a tribal-owned land-based casino in California. The recently introduced product is built on the company’s Rapid Games platform, which allows users to play Class II casino games on their portable devices within certain areas of the casino property. Class II games are games of chance, which are practically a combination of bingo and traditional slots.
The innovative product aims to diversify the selection of games, which the land-based casino operators offer to their customers. In that way, the casinos will be able to draw back the attention of millennials, who seem to start losing interest in the traditional games.
Moreover, it is expected to stimulate the interest of the new generation players, as the in-venue mobile gaming platform allows players to combine online gaming experience with the thrill to be in a land-based casino. By adding this gaming option to its selection of games, the casino operators will be able to welcome even more players at the same time.
Under the partnership, Nektan’s subsidiary Respin provides its Rapid Games solution to a major gaming operator in California, which name is still kept in secret. Rapid games is a certified Class II in-resort mobile-friendly platform. The main idea of the products is to “Bring Your Own Device”. Gary Shaw, CEO of Nektan explained that the joint venture aims to support the development of the tribal-owned American casinos. He added that this is the first time for the company to work hand-in-glove with such a reputable American land-based casino.
Jim Wilkinson, Chairman of Nektan commented that the cooperation between Nektan and the American casino will also contribute to the further growth of the company on the international market, as its gaming product will reach wider customer base. Specialists explained that the product will most probably stimulate the interest of more casino operators, as the players seem to prefer mobile casinos over the traditional brick-and-mortar ones.
It was shared that the company expects soon to enter into a similar partnership with 3 more casino operators. Earlier this year, Nektan CEO Leigh Nissim commented that the partnership between Nectan and a reputable casino operator in the USA is the best proof for the quality and uniqueness of the gaming product. The news caused the company’s price per share to go up with a jump.
